J36nB348_p0387b07║稱錘硬似鐵語,甚疑之,晝夜無閒,有省。又疑如何是
J36nB348_p0387b08║鬼神搜不破之機,留心多載,更有悟入。雲門湛然禪
J36nB348_p0387b09║師遊吳,師呈所見,湛印可。嗣後惟誦圓覺經為夜課,
J36nB348_p0387b10║晝則閱大般若。應事接物,依然如故,略不表異也。萬
J36nB348_p0387b11║曆丙辰臘月十六日,謂竺瑤淨公等曰,吾將長逝。因

J36nB348_p0387b14║時,復甦曰,人怕死無別況,如溫水中浴,煖被中睡,只
J36nB348_p0387b15║嬾得起耳。至期合寺各有付囑,命合甖三載,後開視
J36nB348_p0387b16║之。又謂其學人無雲曰,吾平日教汝法華,且道紙是
J36nB348_p0387b17║法華耶,字是法華耶,誦是法華耶。若會,無邊寶藏一
J36nB348_p0387b18║時領去,不會,則更讀三十年。仍喝一喝云,且道此一
J36nB348_p0387b19║喝,與全部法華,是同是別。又喝一喝,大笑趺坐而逝。

J36nB348_p0387b21║有四。以依四安樂行,不畜徒眾,衣缽無嫡傳。今淨公
J36nB348_p0387b22║配入祖祠,春秋不忒云。贊曰,宗門中事,妙在潛修默
J36nB348_p0387b23║證,吻合教乘。彼解一機一境,便滿盤賣弄,蔑視經典

J36nB348_p0387c23║鮮明。急索香水沐浴,西向叉手,連聲念佛,吉祥而逝,

J36nB348_p0388a06║棄世,師年十七,形影弔,日受侵擾,不去。對峰宏禪師,

J36nB348_p0388a08║葺。申文定公聞之,遊其地,手為題額,方獲安處。師唯
J36nB348_p0388a09║誅茅力耕,絕無夤緣。延至天啟丙寅,囊有餘貲,捐之。
J36nB348_p0388a10║像貌堂宇,煥然改觀。戊辰遊普陀,歸憩聖壽寺之藏
J36nB348_p0388a11║殿。時南關接待寺乏人,徵師理庫事,越一載主之。整

J36nB348_p0388a21║茲地埋沒半生。天啟乙丑,予偶同二三法友,結夏菴
J36nB348_p0388a22║中,商大佛頂要義。師既聞出世法門,猛省昔願,頓以
J36nB348_p0388a23║菴事付實上足,從茂林律主受戒。偕予結夏承天,究
J36nB348_p0388a24║律學。予以先慈捐世,將隱。師招掩關,以身護。其海上
J36nB348_p0388a25║之遊,亦待予也。欲檢律,嚴淨毘尼,故歸憩聖壽。斯時
J36nB348_p0388a26║也,舌不味非時之肴,手不釋圓明之珠,送想西方,不
J36nB348_p0388a27║復知有人世閒事,將謂初志遂矣。不意接待之緣,漸
J36nB348_p0388a28║漸逼身,兩翻皆再三力辭,檀護再四堅勸。萬不獲已,
J36nB348_p0388a29║荷之,而志實大拂。臨終命送骨入六和僧海,蓋矢學

J36nB348_p0388b05║璧如禪師,諱廣鎬,台州王氏子,俗名敬轂,號伯無。父
J36nB348_p0388b06║士琦,為大同開府,以廉名。師弱冠,即有出世志。禮雲
J36nB348_p0388b07║棲蓮大師,受五戒,有今名。萬曆丙午,舉孝廉,時二十
J36nB348_p0388b08║七歲。越兩大試,慨然就選。為急完仰事俯育之累,圖
J36nB348_p0388b09║出世也。令新淦,愛民如子。因居官,戒德稍疏。戊午入
J36nB348_p0388b10║覲,舟次荻港,夢鬼使攝見,冥王責以破戒事,驅入獄。
J36nB348_p0388b11║傍有冥官代請,取破戒後諸事省之,善多惡少,釋不
J36nB348_p0388b12║入獄,鑿蒲萄朵,釘柱上。及寤,雙目乃矐矣。醫進藥,復
J36nB348_p0388b13║夢為冥王所訶,更以二[培-土+金]入兩眶,大痛,失聲而醒。遂
J36nB348_p0388b14║不服藥,告歸。築室台山高明寺傍。日課金剛般若,并
J36nB348_p0388b15║大悲心咒。行法不一年,漸復明,諸親友勸令再仕。歎
J36nB348_p0388b16║曰,人生幾何,猛求出世不暇,猶作蝸角蠅頭活計乎。
J36nB348_p0388b17║惟太夫人在,未忍去。然思既欲離俗,復以母在為礙,
J36nB348_p0388b18║豈可不願母臻上壽耶。時有人因子出家悲泣,太夫
J36nB348_p0388b19║人故笑之曰,第一好事,應慶幸,何泣為,設在吾,吾決
J36nB348_p0388b20║不作此態也。師由是安心遠遁,剃染楚中。單身行腳,
J36nB348_p0388b21║備嘗諸苦,登戒品,掩關閱律,并書華嚴大法。次歷匡
J36nB348_p0388b22║廬諸處,到博山隨眾參禪,人無知者。予適同歸一師,
J36nB348_p0388b23║送惺谷至博山薙髮。師在高明,曾與歸師交。歸一日
J36nB348_p0388b24║眾中執其手曰,公是回生王伯無否。不容諱,始實之。
J36nB348_p0388b25║日見予,與無異禪師論受戒事最悉。因歎近來律學
J36nB348_p0388b26║大訛,本以破戒親受冥譴,久欲留心此道。而歷叩名
J36nB348_p0388b27║德律主,罕不瞶瞶者。予出毘尼集要示之,亟讀亟賞,
J36nB348_p0388b28║歎未曾有,遂與盟千古交。又知予方事閱藏,以啟囑
J36nB348_p0388b29║曰,三藏義類,宜總為一書。三藏酌要,諸宗集要,佛事
J36nB348_p0388b30║稽古正訛,宜各別為一書。發菩提心集,六度集,宜為
J36nB348_p0388c01║二書。毗尼中衣事缽事,及授戒說戒羯磨諸事,日用
J36nB348_p0388c02║閒宜行者,當輯附集要後。梵網經,雖有二大士發明,
J36nB348_p0388c03║宜補以彌勒戒本,及諸經有相發者,集附本條之下,
J36nB348_p0388c04║然後自出手眼,以補前人之缺,亦不失為二大士忠
J36nB348_p0388c05║臣。勿以避嫌,失此勝事。沙彌戒、優婆塞戒,俱要少有
J36nB348_p0388c06║發明,附於集要。已上八則,弟往讀契經,薄有微願。恨
J36nB348_p0388c07║齒逼遲暮,精已銷亡,近又作蒲團活計,不能填也。幸
J36nB348_p0388c08║逢郢匠,敬附當機,儻三昧酒消,尚冀奉襄半臂。不爾
J36nB348_p0388c09║者,當結縞帶於來生矣。予唯唯謝曰,弟亦夙有此志,
J36nB348_p0388c10║不謀而合,第六第八兩事,業已為之矣。未幾,掩關東
J36nB348_p0388c11║峰靜室。次年太夫人以其故二訃,乃歸省。太夫人語

J36nB348_p0388c13║餘年,汝子亦善學,勿以此妨出世大事也。師奉慈命,
J36nB348_p0388c14║遊武林,與新伊法師莫逆。時予入孝豐,取道武林。師
J36nB348_p0388c15║曰,集要雖預參訂,實未淹浹。擬從師授講服習之,不
J36nB348_p0388c16║令付諸空言。今遇華嚴法席,不能隨。餘生若在,明歲
J36nB348_p0388c17║入山結夏耳。不旬日,嬰微疾,預知時至。命侍者寫囑
J36nB348_p0388c18║言,貽二子,攝心念佛而去。嗚呼,以師之敏而好學,解

J36nB348_p0388c26║究宗乘。因父在,不得出家,以居士身與道友如是雨
J36nB348_p0388c27║海等,日相砥礪。泉南久乏聞熏,緇林無人知參方行
J36nB348_p0388c28║腳事。師鼓一二英傑,破格遠遊。閩中緇素,始稍稍有
J36nB348_p0388c29║發心北學於江浙者。初至匡山,謁憨大師。見其規模
J36nB348_p0388c30║闊大,於商究生死一事不甚切。捨之,之博山,博山居

J36nB348_p0389a07║杭,抵龍居。時予在龍居閱藏,一見即問有著作否,以
J36nB348_p0389a08║白牛十頌示之,大悅。遂欲盟千古交,予未以為然。相
J36nB348_p0389a09║聚既久,每與予破格大諍,予謂此居士也,未必細察
J36nB348_p0389a10║余言。後因歸一師同結冬,偶商及耳根圓通法門,歸
J36nB348_p0389a11║師持公論,是師非予。予因虛心再研,舊諍負墮處大
J36nB348_p0389a12║半矣。乃共締千古盟,激令早現僧相。師以舊禮博山,
J36nB348_p0389a13║不忍背。歸師與予欣然送之到博山,異師手為薙髮,
J36nB348_p0389a14║而未受沙彌及比丘戒。蓋受戒事,曾與季賢師約,必
J36nB348_p0389a15║復古制故也。庚午春,予病滯龍居,然臂香刺舌血作
J36nB348_p0389a16║書與之。師同如是師來,禮季賢師為和尚,覺源師為
J36nB348_p0389a17║教授闍黎,新伊師為羯磨闍黎,力復如來舊規。如法
J36nB348_p0389a18║受沙彌及比丘戒,唯菩薩戒不重受,以為居士時,曾
J36nB348_p0389a19║受之博山也。結夏安居,聽毘尼集要。師久習宗乘,得
J36nB348_p0389a20║其大益,亦未免染其流弊,不能留心律學,但恐負予
J36nB348_p0389a21║苦心。知佛日金臺師,虛懷好善,以集要力請流通。辛
J36nB348_p0389a22║未秋,疾終佛日。嗚呼,師亦最奇人也。為法門每觸時
J36nB348_p0389a23║忌,為道友每忘自身。慧眼超群,機辯峭拔,往往以短
J36nB348_p0389a24║兵取勝。雖名禪宿德,欲與之戰,大似撼岳家軍。馴致
J36nB348_p0389a25║之,兜率覺範豈多讓焉。予方謂博山有子,青出於藍,
J36nB348_p0389a26║何入滅之速耶。師生於萬曆癸未,世壽四十有九,法
J36nB348_p0389a27║臘二年。金臺法師茶毘之,塔其骨與璧師鄰。如是師
J36nB348_p0389a28║以受師益最多,輯師平日手札,名為筆語而流通之,
J36nB348_p0389a29║述行紀,執弟子禮於身後,為天下後世重名相而輕
J36nB348_p0389a30║法恩者愧云。
J36nB348_p0389b01║方外史曰,二師皆予最善交也。璧慈而溫,惺悲而厲。
J36nB348_p0389b02║璧聰俊而詳明,惺沈毅而精銳。璧日讀數卷,過目了
J36nB348_p0389b03║了,惺涵泳一偈一句,經旬月不置。是故惺服璧之博
J36nB348_p0389b04║暢,璧服惺之瑩徹。璧所屆,人皆愛之。惺所屆,人皆畏
J36nB348_p0389b05║之。璧惟欲受人益,未敢益人,故以能問於不能,以多
J36nB348_p0389b06║問於寡。乃至臨終,猶合掌問法,令侍者泥首。惺惟欲
J36nB348_p0389b07║益人,即名自益。故從閩至江右,從吳至武林,無不以
J36nB348_p0389b08║好辯貽譏叢席。乃至臨終,憶念故友,如是勸宜自顧,
J36nB348_p0389b09║猶厲聲大叱,謂千古安有自私自利聖賢。噫,孔子謂
J36nB348_p0389b10║不得中行,必也狂狷。孟子稱伯夷柳下,同為聖人。二
J36nB348_p0389b11║師春蘭秋菊,各擅其美。奚必兩融,始名全德也。其與
J36nB348_p0389b12║予交也,璧師欲受予益,不得不稍以微辭益我,惺師
J36nB348_p0389b13║欲益於我,亦不得不稍受予益,皆生平破格處也。可
J36nB348_p0389b14║痛者,璧師欲學毘尼,有志未遂,惺師既學不能力。如
J36nB348_p0389b15║來正法,誰共仔肩歟。嗟乎,一月閒,二師相繼而歿。予
J36nB348_p0389b16║雖有一二同志,但能受益,不能益我,或可相益,而喜
J36nB348_p0389b17║願惡逆,不能結眉於紅爐烈燄中,撒手於冰凌劍刃
J36nB348_p0389b18║上。如二師者,大事因緣,尚不免留下公案,矧不及二
J36nB348_p0389b19║師哉。予是以浩然永歎,甘沒齒於深山也。

J36nB348_p0389b21║師諱宏思,一字如是,晉江溜[泳-永+粵]人,族姓陳。髫年入郡
J36nB348_p0389b22║之開元寺,禮湛然精舍肖滿全公為師。薙髮後,喜詩
J36nB348_p0389b23║文,不理錢穀。氣節昂然,緇素咸敬憚之。年二十七,忽
J36nB348_p0389b24║發出世心。盟月臺心默師及惺谷何居士,為生死交。
J36nB348_p0389b25║朝夕參究大事,忘形破格,風雨寒暑,弗替也。時溫陵
J36nB348_p0389b26║佛法久荒,聞熏乏種。師獨與惺谷鼓舞數人,謁博山
J36nB348_p0389b27║無異禪師。受具戒,苦參無字,脅不著席者三年。異師
J36nB348_p0389b28║愍其勤,恐致病,說調琴喻勸之。稍稍晏息,終不解衣。
J36nB348_p0389b29║師志遠大,縱有省悟,不自足,亦不輕舉似人。同輩視
J36nB348_p0389b30║師若木訥,師固是非了了,洞如秦鏡矣。離博山,游浙
J36nB348_p0389c01║直,習教觀於幽谿。鑒末世暗證之失,遵永明角虎之
J36nB348_p0389c02║訓,遂神棲安養,期以萬善同歸。迨惺谷薙草,師以受
J36nB348_p0389c03║惺谷教益最深,欲推為先臘,且博山受戒不如法。遂
J36nB348_p0389c04║捨前所授,禮季賢師為和尚,覺源、新伊二法師為阿
J36nB348_p0389c05║闍梨。次惺谷進比丘戒,兼進菩薩大戒,結夏聽予律
J36nB348_p0389c06║要。次年惺谷師西逝,師以全公年邁,歸侍,創八關社,
J36nB348_p0389c07║接引居士。從此溫陵緇素,始知有如來正戒。師自視
J36nB348_p0389c08║欿然,惟明師良友是念。越五載,復逃江外。踏冰雪,尋
J36nB348_p0389c09║予九子峰頂。未幾,全公變,厥孫泣挽回泉。乃訂予續
J36nB348_p0389c10║至紫雲,作掩關計。逮予踐約,未及一載,師遂示疾。召
J36nB348_p0389c11║予助其念佛,命侍者除髮浴身。浴畢端坐,舉手而逝。
J36nB348_p0389c12║正念分明,神清氣定。越二時,頂[寧*頁]尚煖,托質蓮蕊無
J36nB348_p0389c13║疑也。師生平自奉甚約,破衫補履,數十年如一日。予
J36nB348_p0389c14║嘗笑謂之曰,舜視棄天下猶棄敝屣,師棄敝屣猶天
J36nB348_p0389c15║下也。師愀然曰,某非故作慳態,愧薄德不堪消受檀
J36nB348_p0389c16║信耳。甘淡薄,忍疲勞,精勤禪誦,夜寐夙興。雖劇病臨
J36nB348_p0389c17║危,亦不懈廢,誠有古人風。至於親信師友,受惡辣鉗
J36nB348_p0389c18║錘,如飲甘露,於古人中,亦不多得。假以數年,近可匹
J36nB348_p0389c19║休異巖,遠可追蹤斷崖。惜乎生年僅五十,戒臘甫十
J36nB348_p0389c20║夏。自度固已有餘,利他功未及半。痛哉,與士夫往復,
J36nB348_p0389c21║必隨其病渴,飲以苦口。師侍者,錄成帙,予戲題為老

J36nB348_p0393c11║所剃度也,自幼持齋,十二三歲即歸依雪兄。直俟歷
J36nB348_p0393c12║試,堪持淨戒,乃肯離俗。其視出家非等閒事,已勝尋
J36nB348_p0393c13║常千萬倍矣。邇來住靜道峰之麓,和光同塵而不易
J36nB348_p0393c14║其介。且篤信淨土法門,渴慕圓頓宗旨,故於客冬,不

J36nB348_p0393c27║吾聞壽者,受也,自造其因,自受其果,非天降,非地出,
J36nB348_p0393c28║非人與者也。故宣聖謂仁者壽,又謂大德必得其壽。
J36nB348_p0393c29║壽豈心外法哉。壽既非心外法,舉凡父子夫婦親友
J36nB348_p0393c30║子孫,皆非心外法也。是故人能盡其心於仰事俯育

J36nB348_p0394a20║佛法之要,在戒定慧。儒門之德,在智仁勇。淨土之訣,
J36nB348_p0394a21║在信願行。此三非三,三袛是一。此一非一,一必具三。
J36nB348_p0394a22║能知戒定慧之缺一不可者,智也。躬行戒定慧者,仁
J36nB348_p0394a23║也。不被貪瞋癡所奪者,勇也。知三德之在物在我,本

J36nB348_p0394b05║師壽六十,戒子之從旭遊者,謬以旭言稱壽。今師七
J36nB348_p0394b06║十,高足復以壽序見託。旭猶憶辛未春,同師禮大悲
J36nB348_p0394b07║懺於蓮居,程季清甫議六年法社。旭於觀堂中,夢十
J36nB348_p0394b08║字街頭一大涼亭,懸燈十有餘盞,須臾風作,僅存一
J36nB348_p0394b09║燈,孤明歷歷,維時妄意,厥祥在師。今果為蓮居獨存
J36nB348_p0394b10║之一燈矣,然存此一燈非偶然也。師以童身給侍紹
J36nB348_p0394b11║翁,備受惡辣鉗錘,乃克為晚成大器。生平戒律精嚴,
J36nB348_p0394b12║梵行超卓,懺摩禪觀,靡不深習。而尤妙在虛懷好問,
J36nB348_p0394b13║壬午旭從閩出,即以唯識合響,殷勤下問。逮客歲以
J36nB348_p0394b14║柬寄旭,仍命校讎。師於唯識講演二十餘遍,尚不恤
J36nB348_p0394b15║下詢鄙夫。以視今之妄自滿足空腹高心者,為何如

J36nB348_p0394b20║昔無異禪師入石城,一日登座,萬壽菴達源師出眾
J36nB348_p0394b21║問云,如何是無量壽。異云,烏龍潭裏浪滔天。進云,若
J36nB348_p0394b22║是則有量也。異云,天池一滴水,豈與眾流同。師遂禮
J36nB348_p0394b23║拜歸位,予時獲識荊。逮辛未春,師敝屣菴業,飄然一
J36nB348_p0394b24║納。遊武林,復與予遇於蓮居菴,則志泛教海,并近日
J36nB348_p0394b25║禪者氣象而忘之矣。親近新伊老法主既久,乃拗折
J36nB348_p0394b26║柱杖,獨居華塢之定慧菴。菴久不蔽風雨,師就其地
J36nB348_p0394b27║誦法華千部,施燄口千堂。數年有如一日,始感檀護
J36nB348_p0394b28║鼎新之。師為人坦夷率直,無芥蒂,無涯岸。而勤修真

J36nB348_p0394b30║之年,即知奉佛,將弱冠,禮別傳尊宿薙髮。別公與紫
J36nB348_p0394c01║柏老人同時,孤標獨邁,罕有能承事者。師曾托缽奉
J36nB348_p0394c02║養十年,朝夕親炙,所以猶有古人風格。雖近世宗匠,
J36nB348_p0394c03║咸申參請,而終不襲其家法也。泥多佛大,源遠流長,

J36nB348_p0394c06║嘗聞出家,有三事業,曰坐禪也,讀誦也,營福也。坐禪
J36nB348_p0394c07║猶國有武備,名為定輪。讀誦猶國有文事,名為慧輪。
J36nB348_p0394c08║營福猶國須理財,名為福輪。此三並以戒為基本,猶
J36nB348_p0394c09║國之若司馬,若司吏,若司農等,並奉律憲。初未嘗以
J36nB348_p0394c10║禪教律列為三宗也。又有三種善知識,曰教授也,同
J36nB348_p0394c11║行也,外護也。夫教授以先覺後,猶可教學相半。同行
J36nB348_p0394c12║共所趨求,祇期麗澤相資。惟外護善知識,必須諳悉

J36nB348_p0394c19║坊,漸至冷落。至壬戌冬,禾城眾護法,敦請白翁,主禪
J36nB348_p0394c20║堂事。俾山門廊廡,煥然一新,流通大藏,永成規畫。十

J36nB348_p0395a07║柏之徹法源底乎。今天下法主,能如紫柏之會通差
J36nB348_p0395a08║別乎。今天下律主,能如紫柏之頭陀勝行乎。觀於海
J36nB348_p0395a09║者難為水,白翁之不請轉法輪,乃其所以護正法輪
